If you exhibit at or visit a Taiwan trade show, the Taiwan External Trade Development Council (TAITRA) is often the organiser you deal with, and often the venue operator as well. That gives you one point of contact for stand space, the hall and buyer meetings. TAITRA is based in Taipei. It says it organises more than 30 Taiwan International Trade Shows each year, among them COMPUTEX and TIMTOS. It also says it operates Taipei Nangang Exhibition Center, Hall 2.

Shows it runs

These shows are on our directory, with their next published dates.

  • COMPUTEX, 1 to 4 June 2027, Taipei Nangang Exhibition Center, organised with the Taipei Computer Association (TCA)
  • TIMTOS, 2 to 6 March 2027, Taipei Nangang Exhibition Center, organised with the Taiwan Association of Machinery Industry (TAMI)

TAITRA’s own site also names these events:

  • Taipei Cycle Show, 24 to 27 March 2027, Taipei Nangang Exhibition Center, Halls 1 and 2
  • Taiwan Expo, which TAITRA calls a flagship platform and holds outside Taiwan, with past editions in Indonesia, India, Japan and the United States

Before you book travel or freight, check each date on the show’s own site. Our guide to checking official show dates explains how.

What it organises

TAITRA’s trade shows cover a wide range of sectors, so you can often find a show for your products in Taipei. TAITRA lists AI technology and robotics, information and communications technology, healthcare and green energy among them. Its stated aim is to bring professional buyers from around the world to Taiwan to buy and do business. If you sell electronics or computing products, COMPUTEX belongs with the other electronics trade shows. Machine tool buyers and suppliers will find TIMTOS with the technology and industry trade shows.

TAITRA says its shows draw tens of thousands of exhibitors from Taiwan and abroad every year. Treat headline totals with care when you compare shows. Our guide to understanding attendance and exhibitor figures explains how to read them. TAITRA also takes groups of Taiwanese companies to exhibitions abroad, runs procurement meetings and trade missions, and publishes market research.

Company facts

TAITRA has been around for more than five decades, which matters if you plan to come back over several editions. It says it was founded in 1970 as a nonprofit trade promotion organisation, funded by the government and industry associations. Its headquarters is at 333 Keelung Road, Section 1, in Taipei’s Xinyi District. TAITRA reports a team of more than 1,300 specialists, 5 domestic offices and a global network of more than 60 branches. It also says it has alliances with more than 500 international affiliates. This local and overseas network can help you prepare before you arrive.

Venues it uses

TAITRA’s flagship shows use halls the organiser runs or helped create, so organiser and venue questions often go to the same team. COMPUTEX lists four venues for 2027: Taipei Nangang Exhibition Center Halls 1 and 2, TWTC Exhibition Hall 1 and the Taipei International Convention Center (TICC). TIMTOS uses Nangang Halls 1 and 2.

  • Taipei Nangang Exhibition Center. Hall 2 is operated by TAITRA. The venue says it offers 156,700 sqm of floor space, and that the two halls together hold more than 5,000 booths and 38 meeting rooms. Hall 2 has 1,296 indoor parking spaces.
  • Taipei World Trade Center (TWTC) Exhibition Hall 1. TAITRA started the TWTC in January 1986. The venue says Exhibition Hall 1 has 159,329 square meters of floor space over 7 floors. Its 1st floor showground covers 23,269 square meters, with room for 1,300 standard exhibition booths.
