San Diego Convention Center is at 111 W Harbor Drive on the downtown San Diego waterfront. It opened in November 1989, and a Phase II expansion completed in 2001 nearly doubled the building. Its calendar mixes medical and scientific congresses, conventions with trade shows and large public events such as Comic-Con.
