When you need an I&D contractor
If your stand builder is not based near the show, or you ship a stand you own, you need a crew at the venue to build it and take it down. Installation and dismantling (I&D) contractors supply that labour and a supervisor, and work from your drawings. In some US venues labour rules decide who may do certain work, so the exhibitor manual and the official contractor for the show are the first things to check.
What to agree in advance
- Drawings, a packing list and photos of the stand fully built.
- The crew size, the hours and the rates for overtime.
- Who orders electrics, rigging and forklifts from the venue.
How we list companies
Every company here was checked on its own website and, for most, in the member directory of IFES, the International Federation of Exhibition and Event Services. We record where it is based and which services it offers, with the date we last checked. Listings are free. If you run one of these companies, you can claim your listing to update it, or ask for a correction.
