Deckel & Moneypenny is an exhibit house in Louisville, Kentucky, that designs and builds custom trade show exhibits and the brand experiences that go with them. The company traces its history to 1964 and groups its work under three headings: exhibits, engagements and experiences. It is listed among stand builders in this directory and in the section for stand builders in the USA.
Team
The company’s published team list includes design, production and logistics staff. Roles named include a design director, a lead exhibit designer, an exhibit detailer, a graphic design lead, a graphic production artist and a creative technologist. On the build side there are a production manager, an exhibit specialist, an exhibit craftsman and a cabinet finisher, backed by a warehouse supervisor, a shipping and receiving specialist and a logistics coordinator. Client work sits with an account management team. The company lists a main office at 615 Marret Ave in Louisville and an auxiliary office at 600 Marret Ave.
Kitchen and bath show stands
Several of its published case studies come from the Kitchen & Bath Industry Show (KBIS). For House of Rohl at KBIS 2024, it designed one stand for seven brands, including Rohl, Riobel and Victoria + Albert. The layout used seven bespoke vignettes created with collaborating designers, a centrepiece of colour-matched stone pillars and a showroom area opposite the vignettes. The company reports 2,922 qualified leads and the KBIS 2024 Best of Show award for a large booth.
For GE Profile Appliances at KBIS 2022, the stand followed an Apple store style plan, with product vignettes on the outer walls, large LED walls, and a hanging LED sign with built-in speakers and theatrical lighting. After a laundry presentation, visitors were invited to tour the stand, which included a virtual reality tour of Profile products. The company reports that scans identified as qualified leads more than doubled compared with 2020. Planning for the 2021 show had included hybrid and virtual fallbacks after that edition moved online, an example of how moving show dates affect planning.
Touring and mobile experiences
The firm says it has designed and managed versions of the Chevron Delo truck tour across North America for many years. Its Delo Traveling Technology Lab was built for more than 50 host locations a year, with gamified stations using virtual and augmented reality. Visitors scanned a QR code at each station, which recorded which stations they visited and how long they stayed. For 2019 the company reports 193 claims covering 34,045 gallons and an average of about 15 minutes per station, against a usual figure of about 10 minutes.
