Sun Drive

Sun Drive is a Brno company that designs, produces and builds trade fair stands and also organises exhibitions and events. It was founded in 2002 by Jiří Carda, and the company quotes 20 years of experience, 1,000 fairs worldwide and 6,000 clients.

Stand design, production and build

Each stand design is prepared individually so that it reflects the client’s corporate identity, and Sun Drive then produces and installs it at the venue. In 2008 the company acquired its own production and storage facility at Měnín, and in 2018 it expanded production at a site in Veverská Bítýška. The Converge stand at electronica in Munich combined a large floor area, meeting space and a large LED wall above the bar. The mostly white LG Energy Solution stand at Intersolar 2024 in Munich used backlit elements and yellow bulbs above the bar. For DAKO, multi-storey stands with floral decoration are a recurring feature at InnoTrans in Berlin, and the 2024 edition added a transparent LED television.

Alongside built stands it offers digital exhibition services: 3D presentations, virtual and augmented reality applications and interactive showrooms.

Working with exhibitors

Projects begin with personal consultations, and the company says it can advise on choosing a suitable trade fair. It describes project management and planning as central to delivery. Its event work ranges from small conferences and international exhibitions to the visit of Pope Benedict XVI.

Projects it publishes

The portfolio is grouped into Czech, European and worldwide work. At Brno shows it lists Honda at Motosalon 2024, Prysmian at Amper 2024, B&R at Amper 2023, ABB at MSV 2018 and ISCAR at MSV 2024. In Germany, besides electronica and InnoTrans, it names Navico at boot Düsseldorf 2025, Trimble at Intergeo Stuttgart 2024 and P3 Logistic Parks at Expo Real Munich 2024. Further afield it lists St. Dalfour at SIAL Paris 2024, the Czech Ministry of Industry and Trade (MPO ČR) at Eurasia Rail Istanbul 2023, and work for MSV Elektronika, Bonatrans, CZ Colt and Czechoslovak Group, including DSA Kuala Lumpur 2024, Defense & Security Bangkok 2023 and IDEX Abu Dhabi 2023. Much of this work is outside the Czech Republic; our guide to shipping exhibition equipment abroad covers that side.

History and memberships

Its timeline records an Expo Image Award and a first exhibition in Africa, in Algeria, in 2003, a first in Asia, in Bangkok, in 2004, a project at World Expo Aichi in 2005 and a first exhibition in America, in Houston, in 2015. Sun Drive joined IFES, the International Federation of Exhibition and Event Services, in 2018 and appears in its company member directory. Jiří Carda has been President of the Association of Exhibition Companies since 2001. IGE InterGlobal Exhibitions, quoted on its home page, says it has worked closely with Sun Drive for the past 10 years.
