You can have your stand designed, made and installed by one Dubai contractor, Spectrum Exhibition, which says it has built stands in the UAE since 2008 and runs its own production facility in the National Industries Park at Mina Jebel Ali. Your stand is designed, manufactured, printed and produced in-house, according to the company, which gives its team size as more than 100 people and its Dubai production facility as more than 100,000 sq ft. It says that keeping production in its own facility lets it control quality and deadlines directly. Its quality management system is certified to ISO 9001:2015, and it is a member of the Middle East chapter of the International Live Events Association (ILEA).

Approvals and venues it handles for you

You do not have to deal with the venue paperwork yourself. Spectrum says it prepares and submits the drawings, structural calculations and fire-rated material certificates each venue asks for, gets your Permit to Build at Dubai World Trade Centre and registers its crew for venue passes. It builds at Dubai World Trade Centre, the Dubai Exhibition Centre at Expo City Dubai, ADNEC Centre Abu Dhabi and Dubai Harbour. It advises booking as early as you can, because organisers set drawing deadlines weeks before build-up; Expo City Dubai, for example, needs designs at least six weeks ahead, and double-deck stands need extra time for structural approval.

What a stand costs

Spectrum does not publish prices. It says the cost depends on stand size, stand type, open sides, materials, built features such as meeting rooms or a second deck, and AV, and that the organiser or venue bills space rental, power, internet and rigging separately. You get a quote from your floor plan.
