Olympia London

Olympia London puts four large exhibition spaces, a convention centre and two hotels on one site in west London. It is next to Kensington (Olympia) station, at Hammersmith Road, London W14 8UX. The venue says it has hosted exhibitions since 1886. A £1.3 billion regeneration has added hotels, restaurants and a live music venue around the historic halls. Halls and floor space

You can book a single hall of anywhere from 3,300 m2 to 14,000 m2, and link halls when you need more space. The operator says The Grand Hall can be connected directly to The National Hall and West Hall. It also says that joining the Grand and National Halls creates one of London’s largest event spaces. Both Victorian halls get daylight through their arched roofs and have large digital displays at the gable ends. Each also has a gallery floor that you can use for staging, hospitality or VIP areas. The Grand Hall was built in 1886 and is Grade II listed.

West Hall has its own entrance a few hundred metres from Kensington Olympia station, so a smaller show can still have its own front door. Level 1 has floor-to-ceiling windows along a curved wall and few support pillars, which gives you clear sightlines across the floor.

Conference and meeting rooms

You can hold your conference sessions, breakouts and exhibition on the same site. The International Convention Centre (ICC) has approximately 3,000 square metres of conference and event space, with its own guest reception and entrance on Hammersmith Road. The main auditorium on Level 1 holds 800+ guests. The large conference room on Level 2 holds up to 400 guests theatre style, or up to 280 for conferences or dining. The breakout rooms take groups of up to 430 guests and each has plug-and-play AV. The ICC also has two business lounges, a foyer for registration and networking, and its own private hire bar and restaurant.

For smaller meetings near the show floor, the Henley Suite at The Grand Hall has eight meeting and seminar rooms. The operator says these hold from 8 to 144 delegates. West Hall gives you a total of 2,400 seated capacity across its two connected floors.

Getting there and parking

Visitors can arrive by train right next to the halls. Kensington (Olympia) station is beside the venue. London Overground’s Mildmay line stops there on its route between Stratford and Clapham Junction, and Southern runs trains from there to Watford Junction. West Kensington Underground station (District line) is a 12-minute walk or a 4-minute bus ride away, and Hammersmith is a 15-minute walk. From the Central line, change at Shepherd’s Bush for a 2-minute Overground train. Buses 9, 23, 27, 28, 49 and 391 serve the venue.

Plan to use public transport. The venue offers parking only to blue badge holders attending events, and you must book in advance. The streets around Olympia have strict parking restrictions, and the venue is inside the Ultra Low Emission Zone (ULEZ). There is no coach parking on site.

Facilities and services

You and your team can stay, eat and work on site. The Hyatt Regency London Olympia and citizenM London Olympia hotels have 350 rooms between them, and the venue lists 30 restaurants and bars. Visitor Wi-Fi is free. Exhibitors can book wired internet at speeds of up to 100 Mbps for HD video and video calls, or a branded Wi-Fi zone for up to 30 people at a time. You will need your stand number to book. The in-house catering team takes pre-orders through Exhibitor Express and delivers food, drinks and equipment to your stand on the day.

If your event needs to report on its environmental impact, the venue holds Green Tourism Gold and signed the Net Zero Carbon Events pledge in 2021. It says it has sent no waste to landfill for 14 years and recycles 98% of it. Organisers receive a sustainability report after their event.

Planning your stand or visit

Book a delivery slot and your vehicle will not be turned away at the gate. Exhibitors and contractors book loading and unloading through Voyage Control, and bookings open 30 days before the event starts. Vehicles enter via Blythe Road from Hammersmith Road, and the maximum vehicle height is 4.4 metres. Vehicles that arrive early or late may be refused entry. Each vehicle can have only one booking a day, and back-to-back slots are not allowed. A limited number of pre-booked spaces are available for vans and lorries of up to 7.5 tonnes.
